Clubhouse Rules - Step 1 of 3

Thank you for your interest in renting the Somerset Clubhouse!

In order to book the clubhouse, please complete this rental application, which includes three steps:

  • Reviewing the Clubhouse Rules
  • Reviewing the Rental Process
  • Agreeing to the Rental Terms and Submitting Rental Form

Step One of Three: Review the Rules

Somerset Clubhouse Rental Rules

Usage and Eligibility

  • Renters must be 21 years old to book the clubhouse.
  • No unsupervised children are permitted to use the clubhouse.
  • The presence of a Somerset Homeowner’s Association (SHOA) member is required for the duration of the function.
  • Commercial use of the clubhouse is not allowed.

Maximum Capacity

  • The clubhouse can safely hold a maximum of 60 people for a buffet-style event and a maximum of 40 guests for a sit-down event. These capacity numbers are a safety requirement in accordance with the Cobb County Fire Code.

Cleaning and Check-Out Procedures

Anyone using the clubhouse for any function will clean the facility thoroughly. At the end of the event, the renter must:

  • Wipe down all areas and vacuum floors. Paper towels, toilet paper for restrooms, cleaning items, and a vacuum cleaner are supplied in the closet.
  • Place all furniture back in the designated location.
  • Clean out the refrigerator.
  • Set the the thermostat to “run”.
  • Lock up the clubhouse.

Facilities Rules

  • No smoking is permitted inside the building.
  • No decorations should be used that will damage any painted surface.
  • No glass on the pool deck.

Permitted Event Hours, Parking, and Noise Levels

There are many homes adjacent to the clubhouse, please be respectful of this:

  • Guests should leave and lock the clubhouse by 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and 12:00 a.m. on weekends.
  • No loud music is permitted after 11:00 p.m. per the Cobb County Code of Ordinances (Article VII.-Noise, Sec. 50-257, No. 2).
  • Parking cars on both sides of the street is not allowed.
  • Do not loiter in the parking lot. When the event is over, please leave the premises.
